Field Director of Mediation
David Aldrich is the McKay Center's Field Director of Mediation. He lives here in Hawaii, though he's originally from Georgia. He enjoys playing the piano, reading, and wandering around. He is a Peacebuilder and has been attending BYU-H for two years after serving a mission in Las Vegas. He works with the Mckay Center on their mediation projects for the campus. To explain mediation, it is when a third party comes to other parties in conflict and helps them to resolve it. It is amazing to see people who are in conflict come together again. In our program, students obtaining a Peacebuilding major go through a course-long training in Mediation leaving them ready to be certified by their state or country in Mediation. We hold peer mediations for students on campus who may be seeking relief from their personal conflicts. Requests for mediations or other mediation projects can be done by emailing me at email@example.com.
